ITINERARY:
📌Day 01: Delhi to Manali (6,700 ft) – 540 KM | 14–15 hrs
Board your Volvo bus from Delhi to Manali after 5:00 PM. It will be an overnight journey through scenic Himachal Pradesh, so make sure you are well-prepared with warm clothes, snacks, and travel essentials.
📌Day 02: Arrival in Manali (6,700 ft) – Rest & Local Walk
On arrival in Manali, check in to your hotel and rest for a while. Attend the orientation session & tour briefing. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing and exploring Hadimba Temple – dedicated to Hadimba Devi from the Mahabharata, and Manu Temple, dedicated to Sage Manu near the Beas River. Dinner & overnight stay in Manali.
📌Day 03: Manali to Jispa/Billing (10,498 ft) – 110 KM | 3–4 hrs
Your Ladakh road trip begins! Drive via Vashisht Hot Springs, famous for its therapeutic waters, and Solang Valley, known for adventure sports. Enjoy Himalayan landscapes before reaching Jispa/Billing for an overnight stay in Swiss camps.
📌Day 04: Jispa to Sarchu (14,100 ft) – 90 KM | 3–4 hrs
Cross the Bara-lacha La Pass (16,043 ft) in the Zanskar Range. En route, witness Darcha, Zingzingbar, and scenic stops at Suraj Taal and Deepak Taal. Enjoy views of the Chandrabhaga River before reaching Sarchu, your gateway to Ladakh. Overnight Stay.
📌Day 05: Sarchu to Leh (11,562 ft) – 250 KM | 6–7 hrs
Drive through Nakeela Pass, Whisky Nallah, Lachulung La Pass, Pang, More Plains, and Tanglang La Pass. The journey offers some of the most spectacular landscapes in Ladakh. On arrival in Leh, check into your hotel and rest.
📌Day 06: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (10,000 ft) – 160 KM | 5–6 hrs
Ride to Nubra Valley, crossing Khardung La Pass (17,982 ft) – the second-highest motorable road in the world. Visit Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy a Bactrian camel ride (optional). Overnight in Nubra Valley.
📌Day 07: Nubra Valley to Turtuk & Return (9,850 ft) – 196 KM | 8–9 hrs
Ride to Turtuk Village, the last Indian village before the LOC, known for its Baltistani culture and apricot orchards. Return to Nubra by evening. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
📌Day 08: Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso (14,000 ft) – 160 KM | 7–8 hrs
Travel via Shyok River route or Wari La Pass to reach the world-famous Pangong Lake (4,350 m) – known for its changing shades of blue.Overnight by the lake.
📌Day 09: Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La (11,600 ft) – 160 KM | 5–6 hrs
Ride back to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft) – the third-highest motorable pass in the world. En route, visit Druk White Lotus School, Shey Palace, and Thiksey Monastery (time permitting). Overnight in Leh.
📌Day 10: Leh to Kargil (8,780 ft) – 240 KM | 6–7 hrs
Drive to Kargil, visiting Lamayuru Monastery, Fotu La Pass, Tiger Hill, and Drass War Memorial en route. Enjoy scenic views of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. Overnight in Kargil.
📌Day 11: Kargil to Srinagar (5,200 ft) – 220 KM | 6–7 hrs
Travel to Srinagar via Sonmarg, visiting Shalimar Bagh and enjoying a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Spend the evening relaxing in the beautiful Kashmir Valley. Overnight in Srinagar.
📌Day 12: Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your return flight. If time permits, explore Srinagar’s markets and gardens before departure.
