ITINERARY:
📌Day 01: Arrive at Srinagar (Local Sightseeing) – [Approx. 25 km | 40 min]
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After freshening up, enjoy a visit to Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, two of the most famous Mughal Gardens in Kashmir. Later, proceed for a Shikara Ride on the Dal Lake, passing by the Floating Market & Meena Bazaar. Evening free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.
📌Day 02: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Kargil – [Approx. 220 km | 7–8 hrs]
After breakfast, drive towards Kargil via the beautiful hill station of Sonamarg, also known as the Meadow of Gold. En route, visit Drass Village – the 2nd coldest inhabited place in the world. Enjoy panoramic views of the famous Kargil War Peaks – Tiger Hill, Tololing, and more. Arrive at Kargil by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Kargil.
📌Day 03: Kargil – Leh via Lamayuru – [Approx. 240 km | 6–7 hrs]
Post breakfast, proceed towards Leh, driving alongside the scenic Indus River. En route, enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and visit Lamayuru Monastery, Alchi Monastery, the mysterious Magnetic Hill, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Experience the thrill of rafting in the Indus (optional). Arrive at Leh, check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.
📌Day 04: Leh Local Sightseeing – [Within City]
After breakfast, explore Leh Palace, modeled after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, offering panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains. Visit Shanti Stupa (Japanese Peace Pagoda), located atop Changspa Hill, providing a stunning bird’s-eye view of Leh. Later, enjoy shopping at Leh Market for Pashmina shawls, Tibetan handicrafts, Thangka paintings, and traditional jewelry. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
📌Day 05: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung La – [Approx. 125 km | 4–5 hrs]
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (5,602 m / 18,390 ft) – the highest motorable road in the world. From the top, enjoy magnificent views of the Zanskar Range to the south and the Saser Massif to the north. Nubra, also known as Ldumra or the Valley of Flowers, lies between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges. Check in at camp. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
📌Day 06: Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Wari La – [Approx. 200 km | 6–7 hrs]
After breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Pangong Lake (4,267 m) via Wari La Pass (5,312 m). The lake, located along the India-China border, is the highest saltwater lake in the world, stretching over 130 km in length. Its crystal-clear waters change shades from blue to green, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Arrive at Pangong and check in at camp. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
📌Day 07: Pangong Lake – Leh via Shey & Thiksey – [Approx. 160 km | 5–6 hrs]
Enjoy sunrise at Pangong Lake, then drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass (5,360 m). En route, visit Shey Monastery & Palace – once the residence of the Ladakhi royal family – and Thiksey Monastery, the largest monastery in central Ladakh, known for its stunning architecture and giant Maitreya Buddha statue. Arrive at Leh, check in to hotel, evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
📌Day 08: Leh Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of your Ladakh adventure.
