ITINERARY:
 

Day 1: Arrival – NJP / IXB / Siliguri to Sillery Gaon (Approx. 95 km / 4 hrs)

Your journey through the Old Silk Route begins with a warm welcome at NJP Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport (IXB), or Siliguri. Travel to the scenic village of Sillery Gaon, a hidden gem in the Kalimpong district known for its stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. On arrival, check in at your homestay and enjoy peaceful surroundings. In the evening, explore Tinchuley View Point and the historic Damsang Fort ruins. This serene village is perfect for those seeking offbeat experiences in the Himalayas.

Day 2: Sillery Gaon – Aritar – Zuluk (Approx. 90 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and proceed toward the mystical village of Zuluk, one of the top highlights of the East Sikkim Silk Route tour. En route, visit Aritar, known for the tranquil Lampokhari Lake and the historic Aritar Monastery. The drive continues through picturesque hamlets like Lingtam and Padamchen, surrounded by lush forests and vibrant rhododendrons in season. Reach Zuluk, a high-altitude village offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for photography, stargazing, and experiencing true Himalayan hospitality.

Day 3: Zuluk Sightseeing – Thambi View Point – Kupup Lake – Tsomgo Lake (Excursion)

Start early today for the most scenic part of your Silk Route Sikkim tour. Visit Thambi View Point (11,200 ft), known for its famous sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range and the iconic zig-zag road loops of the Old Silk Route. Continue toward Lungthung, Old Baba Mandir, and the breathtaking Kupup Lake, also called Elephant Lake due to its shape. Drive further to the glacial Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), a popular high-altitude attraction surrounded by snow-covered peaks. Optionally, enjoy a yak ride near the lake. After the excursion, return to Zuluk for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Zuluk to Reshikhola (Approx. 100 km / 5 hrs)

Spend your day enjoying nature walks, birdwatching, or simply relaxing by the river. A campfire in the evening under a starlit sky makes it a perfect ending to the day.

Day 5: Reshikhola to NJP / Bagdogra / Siliguri Drop (Approx. 95 km / 4 hrs)
