ITINERARY:
📌 Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong via Umiam Lake (Approx. 120 Kms | 3–4 Hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, meet and greet followed by transfer to Shillong, the beautiful hill station of Meghalaya. En route visit the scenic Umiam Lake (Barapani), surrounded by lush green hills and peaceful landscapes. After reaching Shillong, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum, and Police Bazar for shopping and local food. Overnight stay at Shillong.
📌 Day 2: Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki (Approx. 220 Kms | 3–4 Hrs)
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Mawlynnong Village and Dawki. Visit Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia, and explore the famous Living Root Bridge and Sky View Point. Later continue to Dawki and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River along with boating at your own cost. Visit the Dawki Suspension Bridge and Indo-Bangladesh border area before returning to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
📌 Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunjee Excursion (Approx. 150 Kms | 2–3 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (Sohra), famous for its waterfalls, caves, and natural beauty. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Eco Park, and Gardens of cave. While returning to Shillong, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for panoramic city views and transfer to Cherrapunjee hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
📌 Day 4: Cherrapunjee to Kaziranga National Park (Approx. 220 Kms | 5–6 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Kaziranga National Park, famous for the one-horned rhinoceros and rich wildlife. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel/resort and relax. In the afternoon, enjoy Jeep Safari at Kaziranga National Park at your own cost (subject to availability and forest permission). Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Note: Kaziranga National Park generally remains closed during the monsoon season from around mid-May/late May till October due to heavy rainfall and flood conditions. Safari operations are subject to forest department permission and weather conditions
📌 Day 5: Kaziranga National Park to Guwahati via Kamakhya Temple (Approx. 220 Kms | 5–6 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Guwahati. En route visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India. After darshan and blessings, transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Meghalaya and Assam tour.
