ITINERARY:
📌 Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong via Umiam Lake (Approx. 120 Kms | 3–4 Hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, meet and greet followed by transfer to Shillong, the beautiful hill station of Meghalaya. En route visit the scenic Umiam Lake (Barapani), surrounded by lush green hills and peaceful landscapes. After reaching Shillong, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may explore Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Museum, and Police Bazar for shopping and local food. Overnight stay at Shillong.
📌 Day 2: Excursion to Mawlynnong & Dawki
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Mawlynnong Village and Dawki. Visit Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia, and explore the famous Living Root Bridge and Sky View Point. Later continue to Dawki and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River along with boating at your own cost. Visit the Dawki Suspension Bridge and Indo-Bangladesh border area before returning to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
📌 Day 03: Shillong to Cherrapunjee Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Cherrapunjee (Sohra), famous for its waterfalls, caves, and breathtaking natural beauty. Visit popular sightseeing attractions including Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Eco Park, and Garden of Caves. En route, also visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for panoramic views of Shillong city and the surrounding hills. After sightseeing, transfer to the hotel in Cherrapunjee for overnight stay.
📌 Day 4: Cherrapunjee Sightseeing (Approx. 50–60 Kms | 5–6 Hours)
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Cherrapunjee covering some of the most scenic attractions of Meghalaya. Visit the stunning Wei Sawdong Falls, Arwah Cave, Garden of Caves, Wakaba Falls, Thangkharang Park, and Khoh Ramhah (Pillar Rock). Spend the day exploring waterfalls, caves, and panoramic viewpoints surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
📌Day 5: Cherrapunjee to Guwahati (Approx. 150 Kms | 5–6 Hours)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Guwahati. Enjoy the scenic drive back through the hills and valleys of Meghalaya. Upon arrival in Guwahati, local sightseeing can be covered if time permits including Brahmaputra Riverfront, Assam State Museum, Umananda Temple (Boat Own Cost), and Fancy Bazaar Market. Later, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
📌 Day 6 Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple Darshan & Drop
After breakfast, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India, situated atop Nilachal Hill. After darshan and blessings, transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Meghalaya and Assam tour.
